Family owned Restaurant I ordered a mango juicy but they brought a naranjada I thought it was good so I didn't say anything, my gf ordered a Colombian empanada an it was definitely refried the food came out really fast so we have a suspicion that it was just reheated it tasted very bland, the food taste the same as something you would get at la granja(Spanish fast food place) I ordered a bandera and a fried jalea

Great food, fantastic service. Got the Los andes sampler, ceviche and parillada. It took me back to Argentina! Yum! Service was outstanding.

A real find. Clean, authentic food, and reasonably priced. Not an "Americanized" menu. How many places can you find chicha morada at (a non-alcoholic drink)? And I'd never heard of "Quaker" (another drink, from Quaker oats). Both homemade. Try the ceviche. I've never had it served as an entrée before. Marinated sweet potato. Corn nuts and another type of white corn kernels I don't know the name of. I've never seen a Pisco sour (an alcoholic drink, national drink of Perú) in the U.S. Good service. Unfortunately we were there from 5 to 6 PM on a Friday evening and we were the only customers. Soccer in Spanish on four flat-screen TVs, but not loud. We'll be back.

Great food, fair price, excellent service. It is very hard to find a place of Ecuadorian food, so I'm so happy this restaurant opened.

Very good and authentic food! The grilled combo sampler we ordered is plenty for two people and only priced at $13.99. Sausage, chicken, steak - great flavor, but the sausage was a bit undercooked. The sampler appetizer was delicious and also a very nice size portion. The place was absolutely empty, and I am not sure why given all the positive reviews and great food. Definitely worth giving it a try if you live around here or are in the area!

Great green sauce!! A must have along with the fried rice (better than any Asian fried rice I've had). Service is a bit slow but the food is cooked with lots of care which comes through I'm the taste. The location has lots of parking and the prices are very fair along with the generous portion size.

Exceptional, fresh food at a great price. I recommend their Piqueo Peruano appetizer - delicious! My husband and I came for the eats and stayed for the company. Such a wonderful & warm staff. Truly a "hidden gem".

What a gem! Great Service! Great Food!! LOVED ceviche ! So flavorful and tasty ! Prices are very comparable! Wonderful ambiance. Nothing special, but very pleasant! Will be back soon!!!!

We went there for dinner last night and the food and service was awesome! Had the appetizer for 2 with ceviche, empanadas and potatoes in this yummy cheese sauce. The ceviche was so good! We also had the churasco and the fried seafood platter. The portions are big and the food was excellent. Had a bottle of wine and the prices are really reasonable. Great find we will definitely be regulars!

Hornado, Cheviche, Encabellado, Hallel(?) This is the best restaurant in broward county. I'm a gringo and I have fallen in love with the cuisine these guys make. Go, Try, and join their loyalty program so you know what they are offering and when. Honestly, the food here is amazing.

UPDATE: 2/21/14 Man, I really wish more people would have went to this place. It seems the lack of traffic has driven standards down in a few short months. I went back yesterday and the same EXACT order I had when I posted the review below and it was literally Inedible - chewy meat, no sauce, soggy fries, uncooked tomotoes, still cold not even sauteed or stewed as they are supposed tobe in this dish- straight up BAD food. Only Redeeming grace was that they took the lomo saltado off the check, but only after telling me the chef wanted me to know that the reason there was no sauce/gravy is because the "real peruvian" way is to have it not be saucy! Well ok, if he says so, but as far as I am concerned, the customer rules! Sorry, this place is going down quickly! PS- fab yucca fries from original Jalea Mixta now frozen little yucca strips - way to downgrade! Skip the Cove and head across the parking lot for some really great food. We had the Jalea Mixta, a great combo of fried fish (huge chunks of white fish, shrimp, mussels, calamari). Steak dish was awesome and the grilled chicken was seasoned very well. Price cant be beat- the place is super clean and the staff is very attentive. Only 1 star off because I did try and take a low carb option asking for mix veg instead of rice and beans and they were Frozen and then boiled or microwaved so they were water logged and mush city...Do yourself a favor, stick to the rice, beans, salad and traditional sides- not the place to ask for a side of veggies!

Tried Ecuadorian ceviche and like me it more than Peruvian, less citrus and great taste. Highly recommend this place to try some authentic dishes. Bandeja paisa and caldo de bola were great too.

Just came home from a great dinner! We had the mixed app of Chilian empanada, Equadorian empanada, corn, pork salad and potato pancake. Everything but the corn was great. It was enhanced by the two homemade hot sauces which were brought to the table. Our mains were the lamb stew and the mixed grill. Both were great. There was so much we ordered extra rice and beans to have dinner the next night. Prices were good, waiters were great! We will be bringing everyone with us next time

  • Michelle L.

Great authentic Ecuadorian food. Large portions. We had the empanadas (Ecuadorian and Colombian), Ceviche (fish and shrimp) and my husband had the bandeja paisa ( meat a tad overlooked). Finished with a dessert of figs and cheese. Overall fantastic service and food. Will definitely be back!

Very clean and colorful dining area. The restaurant was not very busy . However the service was good. My table rocked back and forth like a see saw which I don't know if that's by design or not. I enjoyed the stuff avacado however I could not tell you what was in it. We also shared a Peruvian trip whichs had empanada potatoes an ceviche . My wife really enjoyed all three. I think they all was fresh and tasty but not for my palate. I would come back here and try other foods overall 3.5 starts for my first visit

I passed by the restaurant while in the cute Cove Shopping center in Deerfield. I was intrigued and wanted something different than the typical chain food. Stopped by for lunch with my friend and we both really enjoyed it. I don't really know too much about South American food, so I played it safe with the Arroz con Pollo, it was delicious. The chicken was fresh, rice and beans were hot, and the plantains were a sweet ending. The drinks are really good too, they made a cocktail that was a spicy mojito, went down smooth. I felt like I was dining in a friend's dining room, very homey.

My coworkers and I ordered food today and we were all very satisfied. The food was fresh and tasty. It becomes quite pricey when you have it delivered, so i wouldn't recommend having it delivered. We will probably order again in the future.

Go to this restaurant for their shrimp ceviche, and that's it. they did a really good job with it. The lamb was dry and rough. We got the appetizer sampler, the ceviche was the only good thing about it. The empanadas were really bad. I got the lamb, big mistake. The lamb was dry and rough I would give their lamb a D+. I tried I little bit of the lomo saltado, average not exceptionally good or bad. I would only go back for the ceviche. Service was good not excellent considering we were the only ones there at the time, you would think they be more attentive. Price wise I wouldn't mind the price if the food was really good but it's not. So yes it's a bit overpriced for the quality.

    (2)
  • Erika G.

Food was ok. The price for the food compared to the amount of food is way too high! Ordered a chaufa de pollo which was almost $14 and the amount was barely enough for one person! The food taste alright but compared to other Peruvian restaurants it could have been better.

    (2)
  • Carlos N.

Food is good, price is ok, service is excellent, I will come back again soon, I'll recommend this restaurant, they have food from 3 country's in South America, Ecuador, Peru y Colombia.

ordered mote con chicharron and was terribly dissapointed. I really want to like this place as I am ecuadorian myself, but sadly its just not as good as I expected. Obviously my expectations were high coming in, so not their fault, but still. Also I ordererd a guava juice and they gave me guanabana -.-

    (2)
  • Anita C.

Nice simple restaurant with nice decor, and music. Had the shrimp ceviche and it was very tasty; rice with lentis menestra and steak. Also had the hornado. The pork was juicy with great flavor and the juice/sauce was very light and complimented the dish instead of overpowering it. Coronas are $5 which is a bit pricey for this restaurant but everything else is reasonably priced. Clean bathrooms. Good service and food served in reasonable amount of time. The white sauce served with the chifles and canguil is very spicy so start lightly. Good spot.

I loooooove Peruvian food so my husband and I visited Los Andes last week for the first time. We ordered Arroz con Mariscos, Ceviche and Tallarines Verdes con Bisteque. Of all the places I have eaten these foods, this was by far the worst experience we had with the preparation and flavor of our dishes. The sauce for my tallarines Verdes had a very strong bitter taste. It seemed as though the spinach that was used had already gone bad... Or perhaps they had left the sauce out overnight... The arroz con mariscos plate was absolutely tasteless. The rice had no flavor...there was no presence of aji amarrillo or any sort of condiment typical for this dish. To make matters worse, not sure if they upped the temperature or the A/C died, but dining here went from comfortable to very very hot very quickly. Needless to say, we left very disappointed and with a bad aftertaste in our mouth. Will most definitely not be returning to this place.

Ok. I'm only giving 3 stars because I feel a bit unfulfilled from Los Andes. I'm Ecuadorian and I LOVE Ecuadorian food. This quaint little joint in Deerfield Beach has 2 menus....an Ecuadorian and a Peruvian. My review is only of the Ecuadorian menu. I'll state this, the quality and flavor of their food can definitely warrant 4 stars. I dropped to 3 because the Ecuadorian menu didn't include a staple of Ecuadorian cuisine called Sango. Thats like an Italian restaurant not having Gnocchi. I went with a friend and we ordered different stuff to try as much as possible. The Caldo the Bola was delightful and reminded me of the one my grandma made when I was a child and the ceviche was very yummy. We went old school and ordered the Guatita (tripe stew) and Seco de Chivo (lamb stew) and they were both right on the mark. Overall a very good experience and a friendly family staff. Good place to go. I can up my review to 4 stars or beyond once they add Sango to the menu!

Ordered delivery from grub hub because it had 5 stars on that app. 1. They show up and food is cold 2. Didn't provide receipt so I can't expense it on my company. 3. Gave me super small portions. The sea food diner dish I got was $15 and it came in a small cup. Everything I got was super small portions 4. Called to ask for them to give receipt 2 mins after they closed the door and didn't get any answer. Won't be coming back . Check out my picture

Had lunch with my cousins here yesterday and got chicken and rice. It was decent. The rice was cold and my chicken was over cooked. It tasted burnt and completely dry. They took forever to get our drinks and we waited a while for our food as well. Other than that, the workers were really nice. I'll have to try it again.

This is my first Peruvian food experience and it will not be the last! I got the steak and pork belly with plantains and beans and rice. It was the most amazing flavor combinations! The food came out fast and the waitress was super nice. The place is pretty tiny and isn't much to look at on the inside or out but the food quality was fantastic. For $30 I covered my whole party (3 adults) and we even got some dessert. Save room for the figs and cheese- it's savory and sweet!

    (5)
  • Patricia F.

I am Ecuadorian and the food here is an embarrassment to Ecuadorian chefs. Tonight I have to leave the parrillada and the empanadas de viento and de verde. The chicken and the meat were very salty with no other flavor; the guatita pure peanuts and very little, the fritada dried and salty, the chifles oily and sweet!, the naranjilla juice way too sweet and watery and so on. The only ok food were the white rice and the black beans -who can mess up that?!!- Needless to say, we will never be back.

I love finding places like this. Delicious food with the most reasonable prices. Great selection, attentive service, no SoFla attitude. Enjoyed ceviche, hornado and a great bottle of wine. I can't wait to go back. Try it! You won't be sorry.

This restaurant is as good as it gets. Fantastic service, GREAT food with large portions. Took my wife and she absolutely loved it. We've been back several times to try out the menu and can't find a single item that we are not in love with. The staff is friendly and attentive. Not being Latin, I am full of questions which they are more than happy to take the time and explain. This place is great.

I wanted this place to be good!!!!.....people working are nice.....food is terrible...im from ecuador....that is not ecuadorian food at all....sorry i just dont want my countries food so badly represented.....ecuadors food is some of the best in the world...

Great food, my Dad makes the best ceviche (Ecuatoriano) , but these guys' ceviche is very good, tiny bit salty , but that's me..no them. Bolas de Verde (Green Plantain Soup) OMG!!! so delicious, my girls had Empanadas de Viento, they loved it ...we are certainly coming back! Excellent! Oh...and the passion fruit sangria...ah..heaven..

  • Pamela W.

We originally found this restaurant using a groupon. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, food was "ok". We ordered the lamb stew and also the steak with the fried egg on top. Now the food certainly wasn't horrible, but it was just "ok". Portions were quite large and prices reasonable. They had passion fruit sangria the night we went- that was amazing. The fish ceviche was very good which we got as an appetizer, I wish I did get that as my main meal. I would give our dinners a 3, the sangria and ceviche a 4.

Great and interesting food with reasonable prices. Had the mixed grill. Very flavorful! and the rice and beans are as good as it gets. Service was friendly and attentive.
